Add your 50 Ohm coaxial feed line, suspension rope and away you go.
Can be hung Flat or inverted V configuration. Remember stay away from power lines.
Great antenna! Very well built. Wire doesn't kink, went up in 15 minutes on an existing pole. Low SWR, great reports from all over the US on 20, 40, & 80 m.
This is an AWESOME antenna! If you live in an area with little room? This antenna SMOKES the G5RV! After we put it up in the air. We connected an antenna analyzer to the antenna. OMG, I have NEVER seen readings like is on a multiband antenna without traps like this! On ALL of the Ham Bands, the SWR was no higher than 2:1!!!! I have a FT450D with the built in auto tuner. The tuner just touches up the antenna to have a 1:1 SWR! I have my antenna in an inverted V configuration. $100 WILL SPENT!!!!
This is my second OCF antenna I have purchased, the first was the 8 band 160 through 6 for my cabin antenna which works great. When I had a chance to set up a station at my home for Winter Field Day it was a no brainer. The 80-6 fit into the area I had available, it tunes easy, I didn't arrive in time for WFD but it did in time for the MN QSO Party. It preformed great. Whether you want a temporary or a permanent wire to use. The NI4L Hard Drawn Copper Windoms work great.
I chose this antenna because it was one of the very few 80-6m dipoles I could buy that didn't require center support. I'm not even using a telegraph line, just the hard drawn copper antenna itself and there is very little sag. SWR is great, as reported in other reviews. Great antenna, I highly recommend it.
I replaced two antennas before I settled on the Ni4L OCT 80-6 HD and after hearing folk as far away as Italy just like they were in the room with me was enough to convince me that I had found the right antenna for me.
I bout this antenna to replace a new Alpha Delta DC-CC. I know it has coild but I will tell you what.. This antenna out performs the heck out of it.
Prior to this OCF 7 Band Antenna, I was using a multi band antenna in my attic. The difference is fantastic! The following are the SWR readings direct feed without a tuner: 6M 3.00 10M 1.50 15M 3.30 20M 2.00 40M 1.50 80M 2.80 Feed Point is at 32 feet I would recommend this antenna.
I was looking for an antenna to supplement my G5RV and that would get me on 80m. The SWR is way lower than my G5RV and the reception is better. I now use it as my main antenna.
