Quickly switch bands and eliminate a tuner as one more thing to adjust. Eliminate send/receive tuner loss.
Due to the fact that one wire leg of the antenna is shorter than the other, the OCF is more convenient to erect than a regular center fed dipole. Less coax is required.
Check the SWR always BEFORE using with any antenna tuner.
The dipole is constructed using top quality, FLEX-WEAVE TM is a sophisticated hybrid aerial wire. Its new innovation provides rope lay construction strength and high flexibility. It can be tied in knots to insulators and untied for repeated use. FLEX-WEAVE TM is sometimes referred to as "wire rope" or "jewelers rope". It will not kink or rust out as will copper-clad wire. This flexible wire has also been used for rapid deployment, spool-out, military aerials.
FLEX-WEAVE TM #14 (168 strands of #36 wire). It is excellent for quads, dipoles, long wires, and rapid deployment (spooled-out) antennas. Highly UV resistant PVC jacket.
FLEX-WEAVE TM is the "Cadillac of aerial wire". It has been written about in all amateur radio publications since its introduction in 1989. This revolutionary product has been used by thousands of hams, commercial firms, and government agencies.
The insulation has superior abrasion resistance for running through trees and is UV and weather resistant for use on the seacoast or in other harsh environments. They'll stand up to acid rain, high wind loads, and high snow and ice loads.
The W2AU is the preferred Balun of Amateurs worldwide. W2AU’s operate at a low VSWR from 1.8 to 40 mHz, and handle powers up to 2 KW PEP (at SWRs of less than 3:1). W2AU Baluns are transformer designs with ferrite cores to provide 95% minimum coupling efficiency. Each has a built-in lightning arrestor, hang up hook, and 600 lbs of pull-apart strength in a weatherized, rugged package using only stainless steel hardware and quality materials. Two models are available. The 1:1 matches 50(75) ohms unbalanced coax to 50(75) balanced dipoles. The 4:1 matches 50(75) ohm unbalanced coax to 200(300) ohm folded dipoles.
No trimming - fully assembled, complete and ready to go with end insulators and crimped center and end connections.
Add your 50 Ohm coaxial feed line, suspension rope and go
Can be hung Flat or inverted V configuration. Remember stay away from power lines.

I've had this antenna up for several weeks but just getting around to writing a review.
Shipping was fast and delivery was earlier than I expected.
I was very impressed with the wire used for the dipole. It unrolled completely flat and had no "memory" of being coiled. Very easy to work with.
I won't comment about performance since that depends on many environmental factors, but two things are worth mentioning: 1) the internal tuner of my TS-480SAT doesn't like the phone portion of 75M. I will try shortening the legs a bit to see if that helps. 2) One of the reviews here mentions outstanding performance on 30M. Note that this antenna is not advertised as covering the 30M band, and the SWR on 30M is beyond the range of my internal tuner.

Great antenna, high quality construction and materials.

Well built, only got it up 20 ft on first install but works as advertised on all bands. Will try to get it higher which should lower the swr. I like the cut of the antenna for the phone portion of the band.

The antenna arrived in 3 days from my order. It was well packed and very well constructed. I was only able to install it at 27 feet high and as a flattop antenna. The antenna covers the upper frequencies of most bands so if you are a CW operator, as I am, you will likely need a good tuner. I wish there were an opportunity to specify the Phone or CW end of the band when the antenna was ordered.

As a professional electronics systems owner/installer after 32 years I know construction quality when I see it...Well done considering cost.

1) Hoisted the 7-band OCF dipole up about 30 to 35 ft high between the front yard tree and the backyard tree.
2) About half of the dipole runs over the single story roof by about 12-15 ft.
3) Fed with 125 ft of RG-213 coax (from MPD) into IC-7000.
4) JT-65 QSO on 30m with 1 watt into Japan (JA5XI) who received my signal at -25 and was also QRP at 5 watts on April 1, 2015.
5) Have used WSPR from Los Angeles at 1 watt on 30m with report from Australia at SNR -26.
6) Had checked into a few mid-west SSB QSO parties on 20m over the April 4, 2015 weekend using about 75 watts from Los Angeles with RS at 59.
7) Have recently used 10m (JA2ATE) and 12m (JH1MLV) JT-65 to QSO with Japan, and 17m (VA7HZ) JT-65 to QSO with Canada from Los Angeles. Also recent PSK-31 20m QSO into Cambodia (XU7TZG) on 25 watts from Los Anglees.
So far a great antenna for digital modes and SSB. Will be trying lower bands 80m and 40m later.

Recommended without reservation for the performance and convience!

Just strung this up at about 35 feet and luckily it just fit my yard space. Good quality well built and has good "ears" Working 100 watts I worked LU, CE, North Dakota and California. Generally if I hear them I can work them. Use it with a tuner to minimize SWR spikes but I'm happy I purchased it.

I can't say enough good things about this antenna. If your on the wire about going with the flex weave...pull the trigger. Great construction by Chris.

I have had this Antenna for a couple of weeks and finally got it up late yesterday afternoon. Head Phones in place last night and was amazed at the Stations on my Kenwood 2000 I had never heard. My old setup was an 80/40 Fan Dipole. More Bands to work now and listening on 20 meters now. Happy as can be.
