- Each balun and antenna is hand crafted, built right here in the USA.
- Using the best materials.
- The ferrite cores are 2 1/4" in dim. using 240/61 material. Teflon wire.
- It is encased in 3 inch pvc round tubing.
- Stainless steel hardware is used.
- Double aluminum ferrals are used to hold the wire in place on the balun double machine crimped.
- The wire used is , FLEXI 450 OHM LADDER LINE for the legs with Flex-Weave 14 tuning stubs.
Quickly switch bands and eliminate a tuner as one more thing to adjust. Eliminate send/receive tuner loss.
The dipole legs are constructed using top quality, Ladder line 2 #16 AWG; 19/29 strands Cu-clad with black poly jacket. Nominal OD .065 x .930; Extra flexible & less likely to break in the wind. Nominal impedance 420(ohms); VP 91.7%. Good for -20oC to +60oC degrees. With Flex weave 14 tuning stubs.
FLEX-WEAVE TM is a sophisticated hybrid aerial wire. Its new innovation provides rope lay construction strength and high flexibility. It can be tied in knots to insulators and untied for repeated use. FLEX-WEAVE TM is sometimes referred to as "wire rope" or "jewelers rope". It will not kink or rust out as will copper-clad wire. NOTE: Some bands will require the use of a tuner. Do not try to load 80 meters with a outboard tuner on the 160 OCF if the SWR is high it will result in damage to the cores and your equipment.

OCF Antenna
This is a great antenna. We are running it with a FlexRadio 6400. We are using a tuner - just to keep the radio “happy”, as it were. If you want a super antenna (OCF or conventional dipole) consider an NI4L. Quality construction and superb performance.
